Take a breathe, let go of negative thoughts, step away go to a quiet place. Sit down for a moment close your eyes. Quiet your mind, take long breathes to keep your calm and zen. Just like that your challenging and temporary situation has already faded away. The more you practice this ritual the easier it will be to stay zen. Anytime your frustration trickles up your spine brush it off don't let it affect you. We know that the challenges we face are temporary and the only way they become challenging is really only if we let them. There's a way for all of us to deal with difficult situations using the discipline of controlling our state of mind.
What's important is really how we start our day. When you rise up in the morning it is crucial that you wake up with gratitude. Take a few moments to just be still and let your awareness come back to you after hopefully a restful night's sleep. Open your curtains get some daylight/sunlight into your room. This will allow you to receive some additional energy. Before you go for that cup of coffee that you feel the need for, pour yourself a cup of water add some fresh lemon juice this will hydrate and cleanse your body upon waking. Preferable if you have a few minutes to spare roll out your yoga mat onto your created space of zen. Sit down in a meditative state to find inner peace before you get started with your day.
The whole idea of following some of these simple steps are that you will set the tone of your day.
Write down your to do list for the day to stay organized and on track.
It is important to schedule in some time for exercise even if it is just a short walk. This will help destress your busy life and give you some state of mindfulness. It is also important to practice awareness throughout your day. Look around and stay in the moment. Don't rush ahead of the present. Enjoy the little things life has to offer. Appreciate the beauty of the simplest things. Once you start doing this you will feel more at peace and the calmness will come to you more naturally when you slow things down. So therefor when you are faced with a challenging situation you won't be as fast to attack rather take a step back and analyze the situation and you'll find a more harmonized self.
