Create Your Own Quiet Space

We all need our own quiet space. Most of us have busy lives and for our own sense of well being it is important for us to be able to retreat even if it's just for a few minutes per day to our so called own "quiet space". It's special to have your own sanctuary and sacred space in your home or your garden, where you can be still and sit and feel grounded with your legs crossed in a meditative state. Gently close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, exhale and let your thoughts disappear and empty your mind to become still.
Many of you may wonder, "so how do I create my own quiet space. It's very simple, all you need is a small area that's dedicated solely with positive energy. I would recommend if you choose a space in your home, simply light a candle, perhaps some incense, a meaningful element that you can face to find peace and let go of any unnecessary stress. I like crystals. I have an amethyst and a rose quartz in my sacred space and also an tourmaline angel. You can also add some spiritual, self-mastery books to allow time for reading. A journal if you feel the need to write down your intentions, goals, affirmations, emotions and prayers is also very helpful. Something soft to sit on like a yoga mat and a meditation pillow.
For outdoors, I really enjoy listening to the wind and the sound of birds. The warmth of the sun brings soothing energy. Above is a picture of the infinity garden at the Willka Tika retreat in the Sacred Valley of Machu Picchu, a place I was very fortunate to visit a few years back.
