The Circle of Life

The Circle of Life as it represents itself in your individual wellness wheel, is an exercise you can utilize to see what areas in your life needs improvements.
The goal is to find balance in all areas of your life to achieve maximum happiness and health.
Let's start with the spiritual piece. Do you find time to meditate, do yoga, read a book, surrender yourself in nature, anything that gives you a sense of higher existence and lightness?
Emotionally are you at peace with your emotions or do you need to let go of any negative feelings or people that draw negativity out of you? Are your emotions well balanced? Do you have joy and contentment in your life or do you find that you are struggling in this area? The answers will come to you. And so the wheel goes on. A lot of times when you look at your life in this perspective you realize the areas that you need to improve in order to have a more fulfilled life.
When we hear the term Primary Food most of us think of what is "on our plate" in terms of the foods we eat. When I am talking about Primary Food it is what makes up our DNA such as our happiness and well-being. Try to categorize your life into four pillars of health.
First - our Relationship, such as our spouse, children, friends, family, co-workers etc, Secondly Career, are you following your passions in your field of work? Does it make you feel empowered and excited? Next, Physical Activity. There are many forms of this. Try to find the one that comes most natural to you and stick with it. It can be as a simple walk, yoga, running, swimming whatever you enjoy. Lastly - Spirituality. It is important to find peace, serenity and some mindfulness to ourselves.. Try one thing a day in any of these areas that you can improve to better your health. One simple shift a day, can make the biggest difference towards greater wellness and happiness in your life.
