It's that time again "Back to School" and we all know what that means, "it's time for us to make healthy lunch choices for our children". I have all these mason jars in my cabinet so I thought to myself why not utilize these jars to pack healthy lunches for my kids. It's also a fun way to interact as a family to come up with different ideas and recipes to create together. My daughters were excited and happy to know exactly what was going into their lunches.

The mason jars are also environmental friendly since you are able to reuse them after each lunch.

Here are some ideas for healthy school lunches:

Salmon Teriyaki, with brown rice, cooked broccoli and carrots

Chicken Caesar salad, simply put the dressing on the bottom of the jar, add lettuce, chicken, croutons and cheese if preferred.

If your kids like Mexican food you can start by adding some ground turkey, followed by some black beans, corn, tomatoes and avocado.

You can also make a yogurt parfait for lighter lunch days add granola, berries and choice of yogurt to the jars for a delicious treat.

Fruit salads are another great option, cut up some watermelon, strawberries, pineapple and grapes for a healthy snack.

These mason jar recipes are also great to prepare ahead of time it saves time and easy to grab on the go.

Feel free to share these ideas and I hope you try them out!
